SSI Divemaster Program
Cost: 650 Euros
Duration: minimum 3 weeks depending on certification level and logged dives
Minumum Age: 15 Years to be Dive Guide, 18 Years old to be a Professional Divemaster
SSI Divemaster course will include water skills, rescue assessment, writing an emergency action plan, knowledge development, dive briefing and guiding dives.
As an active SSI Divemaster you can:
- Guide certified divers on recreational scuba dives
- Teach, supervise and issue recognition cards for the SSI Snorkeling program
- Act as a certified assistant for all SSI recreational courses
- Assist during open water training dives by taking no more than two (2) students at a time on excursion dives
- Qualify as a Training Specialist for the SSI Ecology Specialty programs:
- SSI Coral Identification Specialty
- SSI Fish Identification Specialty
- SSI Marine Ecology / Naturalist Specialty
- SSI Sea Turtle Ecology Specialty
- SSI Shark Ecology Specialty
Prerequisites:
- 40 logged dives
- Certified Diver Stress & Rescue diver or equivalent, with completed React Right within last 24 months
- Diver Medical within last 12 months
- Deep Diving 30+mt Specialty (or show proof of at least 5 logged deep dives)
- Navigation Specialty (or show proof of at least 5 logged deep dives)
- Night & Limited Visibility Specialty (or show proof of at least 5 logged deep dives)
- Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty (recommended)
Certification Requirements:
- Dive Guide e-learning completion
- 60 logged dives
- Science of Diving Specialty
- Final Exam
Not Included:
- SSI e-learning materials (~95 Eur)
- Diving Insurance
- Food, accommodation and expenses
- Diver Medical (to be able to work as a PRO)
- Divemaster professional fee (~80 Eur to be able to work as a PRO)
