Something came up, and you can’t make the agreed date? No problem, we offer to change the course date at no extra cost or cancel it if necessary.
Just remember, the €100 for the digital SSI study kit is non-refundable if you cancel.

What can I do once I achieve my SSI Advanced Adventurer in Gran Canaria?
A world of thrilling possibilities!
You will be qualified to independently dive with any partner who holds an Open Water certification or higher.
You can dive with any dive center in the world with your certification card and plan and organize your own dives safely and responsibly.
If you feel adventurous, you might consider advancing your skills with the SSI Stress and Rescue course or other SSI specialties.
And, if you completed the deep adventure dive, dive up to 30 meters deep!
How long does the course take?
The SSI Advanced Adventurer course is designed to be completed in just 2 mornings and an afternoon, or even an evening if you opt for night diving. It’s an ideal way to optimize your schedule and fully enjoy your vacation..
Schedule will also depend on season, availability and weather conditions.
What’s the next level after this course?
We recommend the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue course, the ideal next step if you want to keep improving. You can also choose from a variety of SSI specialty courses to sharpen specific skills.
What activities will we do during the specialty adventure dives?
It’s all about fun! You’ll practice different exercises and skills, try out various specialized equipment for each type of dive, and learn a lot about diving through hands-on experience.
How long should I wait before flying after diving?
If you’ve done one dive, you should wait at least 12 hours before flying, and 18 hours if you’ve done two dives. If you’ve had multiple dives over several days, it’s best to wait 24 hours.
To maximize your experience, consider completing your course at the beginning of your holiday.
What do I need to enroll in the course?
To join, you need to be at least 10 years old, have an SSI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent from any recognized diving agencies) and fill out a medical questionnaire*.
*If any health-related questions are answered “yes,” a medical certificate will be required.
Do I need a medical certificate to take the course?
Not always. You’ll simply complete a medical questionnaire, and as long as all your answers are negative, you’re ready to begin! However, if you answer “yes” to some questions, a medical certificate might be required.

Should you answer to any of the 10 questions with a YES, you will have to answer some additional questions on the second form.
- – If all the answers are NO, you are fit to dive.
- – If any answer is a YES, you will have to present a dive medical signed by a professional doctor.
On page 3 of this questionnaire, you will find the Diver Medical | Physician‘s Evaluation Form. You can print this one out, and present it with the rest of your declaration for your Doctor’s evaluation.

Do I need to go to the dive center for the theory?
No, it’s not necessary. You can complete all the theory wherever you want using the MySSI App. You only need to come to the center for the practical dives.
Actually, it is highly reccommended to complete the e-learning course prior to start the in-water sessions.
Is it necessary to book the course in advance?
Yes, it’s highly recommended. Availability is limited, and proper planning is essential, so the earlier you secure your spot, the better.
To book your place, you can make a €100 deposit for the SSI digital study kit. If you need to change the course date or cancel it, you can do so without any additional charges.
After we receive the deposit, we will imediately issue the e-learning and you’ll be able to start with the diving theory.
What do I need to bring to the course?
All you need is your swimwear, a towel, some clothes to change into afterward and water & snacks. We’ll handle the rest.
