Who's Behind Brothers Diving?

We can’t quite remember if it was sunny or rainy that day…

What we do remember is that Mario showed up two minutes late, which, to Myles (a punctual Brit), felt like a bold statement in itself.

A lot has happened since: countless dives, plenty of laughs, a few forgotten masks, and some epic uphill climbs.

But one thing hasn’t changed — that’s how Brothers Diving was born. Our dive center in Gran Canaria grew out of stories like these.

Because if you’re going to spend half your day zipped into a wetsuit, better do it with people you’d happily queue with at the supermarket, right?

What to Expect When You Dive with Brothers Diving

A dive center in Gran Canaria where you can do exactly what you came for: dive, learn, and enjoy yourself. At Brothers Diving, we make it easy from day one.

Whether it’s your first time doing a try dive, you’re working on your Open Water certification, or just want a chilled, well-guided fun dive, we’ve got you covered.

One of the things we love most (and do often) is guiding first-timers and helping new divers become certified — without drowning them in endless theory.

From the moment you arrive, we focus on keeping things easy, enjoyable, and stress-free. We’re here to help, not to rush you.

And if you’re thinking…

I want to nail my buoyancy” — we’ll work on it together.
Just let me drop down, spot some critters, and enjoy the ride” — we’re in.

We also run specialty courses, advanced certifications, and Nitrox diving. But don’t worry — you don’t need to know all the details before you get here. Just tell us what sounds good, and we’ll make it happen.

If you’re looking for a dive center where things are explained clearly, you’re treated well, and diving doesn’t feel like a chore — Brothers Diving is your place.

Why Choose Brothers Diving?

Because the divers who come here… come back. And they tell others.

From those who came for their first try dive and ended up getting certified, to the ones who joined a guided dive and later recommended us to their entire dive club.

Between the three of us, we bring over 20 years of experience diving and teaching around the world.

And it shows — in how we teach, how we guide, and how we treat every dive.
Come meet us at Brothers Diving and see it for yourself.

The team: neoprene, no rush, and a bit of an obsession with good gear.

Myles

(the punctual onel)

British, scuba instructor… and still confused why “five minutes” doesn’t always mean five.

I started diving while working in finance and traveling through Asia. Got hooked fast, kept learning, and before I knew it — I was dreaming about becoming an instructor.

I made it happen in 2017, and haven’t stopped since.

I’ve taught all kinds of courses, but if I had to choose? I’d say guiding certified divers is my favorite. There’s nothing like a solid dive with people who know their way around underwater.

Mario_Profile

Mario

(the calm one)

Spanish, former cinema manager (yep — 14 screens). Totally different world.

In 2015 I swapped popcorn for fins and moved to Australia to start over.

That’s where I trained, grew, and eventually became an instructor.

Since returning to Spain in 2018, I’ve focused on doing things my way — with patience, great gear, and the same care I’d give if I were planning a dive for a good friend.

Alessandra

(the one who came for a mask and stayed)

Italian, ex-office worker in Malta, and a big fan of puzzles, travel, and tasty food.

I’ve been diving since 2015, but it was in 2019 —after a dive with Mario and a certain forgotten mask he still talks about— that I left corporate life behind and fully embraced the diving world.

Since then, we’ve been all over — from the Mediterranean to Southeast Asia… and now here, in Gran Canaria, making every dive count.

And the Dive Center?

Just the Way Diving Should Be

We built Brothers Diving with one question in mind:

How would we want to go diving?

That means no ancient wetsuits, no rattling old compressors, and definitely no half-fixed gear.

Brothers Diving - Compressors
Brothers Diving - Equipment
Brothers Diving - Dive Center local
Brothers Diving - Selection of Masks

What will you find?

This includes and is not limited to:

    • Top-quality gear from brands like Fourth Element, Scubapro, Tecline, and Mares.
    • Our own Coltri compressors, always serving up fresh air and Nitrox.
    • Nitrox available — because diving with Nitrox feels better and lets you dive longer.
    • A shop stocked with quality masks (in case yours is ready for retirement).
    • We have Dryfing URA, to wash, disinfect and dry our gear, and yours! So you can fly back home with clean and dry gear.
    • There’s a water fountain at the center so you can fill your own bottle and cut down on plastic. If you didn’t bring one, we’ve got aluminum bottles for sale.
    • Every dive is also a clean-up dive: we collect what shouldn’t be in the ocean.
    • Recycled dive weights made from old fishing sinkers (good karma all around).

In short:

We dive smart, we dive smooth, and we dive with purpose.
